I lived for a while in Scarborough Ontario - twin cities. No beach though. Do bluffs count? oh and had a real --- drat I forgot what it is called but got my foot caught in the mud [senior moment] and started sinking. Had to have some one pull me out. Lost my shoe in there but I sure wan't going back to try to get it out.

One of the things I really missed when I moved to the prairies was the autumn colors. I loved visiting in the fall but often mised the best colors by a week or two. Now that I am back I just love it.

I know I need one. So here is the view from my window.
The view out my window. To my left behind the basketball court is a small community centre and behind that is a baseball diamond. Beside the baseball diamond and directly to my back is a dog run. I have seen as many as 16 dogs having a ball chasing each other and having a great time. (masters included) And to my right is a second baseball diamond.
Behind the trees is the Ottawa River and beyond that the Gatineau Hills in all their autumn spendor. I love my view.

there has been some interest recently about the moyle case, and how it may have set a precident in what became the society's disfellowshipping policy.
in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.
he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.

Thank you. My gut feeling was they knew I would talk about how my husband, an elder at the time, was abusing me and our two daughters. Somehow I didn't think they wanted the news to get out that he would get angry and in a rage start kicking them. They probably wouldn't have minded if people thought I had done somethign wrong - which I had, But two kids - kicking them? - that was clearly over the line even by JW standards.
on another thread i was trying to recall a quote from hitler that was as follows:.
